Dr. Parker joined the Defense Acquisition University faculty after serving 23 years in the U.S. Marine Corps and working in the defense industry. He currently serves as Executive Program Management faculty and previously served as the DAU Director of the Foundational Learning Directorate. Before joining DAU, Dr. Parker worked as the Director of Enterprise Application Solutions, Smartronix, Inc., and as an independent business development consultant with Gould & Associates Global Services, Inc. He spent most of his Marine Corps career as a logistics officer, serving in various command, staff, and acquisition assignments. 

 

Dr. Parker holds a bachelor’s degree in economics from Pennsylvania State University, an MBA from Old Dominion University, and a Ph.D. in information technology from Capella University. He holds a Project Management Professional (PMP®) certification and is a Certified Scrum Master (CSM) from the Scrum Alliance.
